Live-In Lifestyle Sessions
Continuing the work that was started in Almaty, the Pearl Health Center continues to offer a live-in experience for guests that want to learn about a better lifestyle. This live-in experience includes presentations about nutrition, physiology, anatomy and alternative; holistic methods of healing like herbs, massage, hydrotherapy, chiropractic and more. Guests also participate in hands-on cooking classes that are free from meat and use a minimal amount of dairy and eggs.
In addition to the advantages received by learning about the body and how to best care for our health the guests learn about relationships, communication and how to have happier homes.
With an emphasis on the paternal love of God for all people, the guests are taught about Jesus in morning devotions, presentations and during treatments, walks and any free time.
The sessions have proven to be very successful and attended by the blessing of God, which is evident by improvements in health conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, weight loss and cancer.
With great joy, the center has also seen a number of Muslims accept Jesus as their personal Savior. In country that is predominantly Muslim this is exciting and is a testimony to the validity of the following statement, “Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Savior mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, “Follow Me.” There is need of coming close to the people by personal effort. If less time were given to sermonizing, and more time were spent in personal ministry, greater results would be seen. The poor are to be relieved, the sick cared for, the sorrowing and the bereaved comforted, the ignorant instructed, the inexperienced counseled. We are to weep with those that weep, and rejoice with those that rejoice. Accompanied by the power of persuasion, the power of prayer, the power of the love of God, this work will not, cannot, be without fruit.” Ministry of Healing, p. 143, 144.
Walk-In Clinic
For the local community the Pearl Health Center offers walk-in services that include health consultations, massage, hydrotherapy and chiropractic treatments as well as the sale of herbs and other alternative remedies.
This also has led to a warm acceptance of a type of Christianity that is different than the typical Orthodox Church.
Some people are now coming with questions about what the Bible teaches about different aspects of life.
Food Club
While located in Almaty, the Pearl Health Center started to provide health food in an open-air market. There are still team members that operate the Food Club in Almaty on a weekly basis and there are a growing number of people that come for the products. The products include items that are commonly hard to find within the city.
At the Food Club, the team also provides recipes and health consultations.
School
Currently, the Pearl Health Center does not have the faculties to accept a lot of students but the most promising are accepted and trained and sent to existing ministries or start their own.
Students are encouraged to have a deeper relationship with God and learn about His beautiful plan of a lifestyle full of peace and love. They also learn about physiology, anatomy, microbiology, pathology, nutrition, massage, hydrotherapy and herbs.
This gives them a well-balanced foundational education from which they can more easily understand different situations that arise in physical or emotional situations.
Training
The commission to bring the gospel to the entire world has led the Pearl Health Center to also accept people with plans to establish similar medical ministries. People come to stay for weeks to observe and learn by personally experiencing the lifestyle session and helping organize and perform the presentations and classes.
When they return to their places, even from other countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, they are able to minister better and have the knowledge to open their own health rooms. They are always welcome to call the Pearl Health Center for further assistance.
